About this Photograph
This
is the last resting spot for one of the luckiest
Christians. R.I.P. "Rest In Paradise". This cross
is located along side a wind-swept cliff above
the eastern shores of Maui. I have to wonder though
whether or not this symbol of Christianity had
anything to do with the completely demolished
car that lay upside down three hundred feet below
this cliff. It may be appropriate to recant my
"Luckiest Christian" statement.
I am often surprised by the places in which I
have encountered religious symbols while in remote
back countries. From giant pentagrams in Sedona,
to make shift shrines scattered across the highways.
