About this Photograph
The truth is that I would have never even captured this picture of frozen waves of mud in a river bottom of Canyonlands National Park if it were not for a beautiful sunlit tree I was attempting to photograph. As I scrambled to find a way to get to the tree, my eye instantly caught this beautiful mud formation.

I was never able to photograph the tree, but this was an even trade!!!

Canyonlands National Park is a place I will always love. Thousand-foot canyon walls surround you as you make your way through the maze of roads. You cannot help but feel small and unremarkable. The best part is that you have thousands of square miles of beautiful canyons and National Parks within reach. Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point, and the Colorado River are just a few of the attractions in and around Moab, Utah.
