About this Photograph
Reflections
off of water have always fascinated me. Photographing
water produces unique and beautiful results but
also comes with great challenges. For me, photographing
reflections is one of my favorite subjects because
of the diversity and scale of these bodies of
water. They range from oceans and lakes to puddles
or even coffee in a mug.
"Sandstone Reflection" was shot from a boat on
Woods Canyon Lake. What caught my eye was the
beautiful lines of the sandstone and the and the
turquoise color of the lichen growing on the rock.
Both are reflected perfectly off of Woods Canyon
Lake on top of the Mogollon Rim in northeastern
Arizona
