About
this Food Photograph
Restaurant photography has always delighted me. For me food and photography rank among my highest passions. During restaurant shoots I often find myself getting excited about the next course much in the way a fine diner anticipates receiving their next culinary creation.
One could never discount the skill and artistry that chefs must possess to be on top. Not only do you have to be a master chemist constantly find balancing between your culinary elements being sure not to over-power, over-heat, under-cook, or under spice your cuisine, you must also present it in a manner that would have Van Gogh in awe of your artistic talent. The final kicker is that we want chefs to have a personality and be the ultimate showman. After preparing for food service for 8 hours, getting completely slammed because the host doesn't understant pacing the restaurant, and having to do this in an area with the average temperature of a 135 degrees I would evicerate the first guest who insisted I come to their table to "Talk Cuisine".
